Life on Cloud Nine

And I'm not coming down.

Today, after days of shopping for a new mattress, we finally found one!

It is SO comfortable, Just like heaven, actually.

I think it's memory foam, and it's made out of bamboo seeds, so it's green! (not in colour)

And trust me, it is REALLY hard for me to find a way to sleep, either it'll make my back hurt, my legs are so long they're dangling off the bed and we can't have that, it's too hot, it's too cold, there's not enough pillows, or the mattress is 22 years old, whatever the normal reason is, I don't think it will be a problem with this new one!

Kids say the Darndest Things!

We were outside yesterday evening, playing with Our little neighbor girl (she's 5), lets call her, "Ladybug" and Ashatasha was talking to her mother, and LB, just blurts out(loudly) "Hey everyone stop. stop! Listen! I have some VERRRRRRY important news!" "What?" "(Pause.) I like cheescake! I like it, and daddy does too! We're gonna eat it together!" haha!

And then, one other time, we were riding around on her golfcart, and she asked how old I was, and I replied. She paused, and answered, "That's olllllllllllld....you should have grey hair by now!"

Thursday

I don't really have much to say today, so let's just start it off with a joke or..end it maybe.
But, I'm going to KJ'S tomorrow, but there will still be a post!
Here's the joke::

Insurance form question and answer about a recent accident:

Q: Could either driver have done anything to avoid the accident?
A: I could have traveled by bus.

A man collided with a cow and completed the requested form as follows:
Q: What warning did you give the other party before the collision?
A: Horn

Q: What warning was given by the other party?
A: Moo

WW

Pretty song here, the acoustic is better though.

Anyhow, thank you for all of the loving comments on yesterdays post.

WEDNESDAY WISH::::
ok, this probably won't make much sense, but here goes,
I wish that they don't make a remake of "The Sound of Music"

Darlene..

I know that GS already covered about Tasha, but I just wanted to say some words.
She's in a much better place now. Free of hurt and pain. She's watching over you, her doggy tears are the rain. She only asks that you remember the love she brought forth to you.

Bless you, and may peace and love be with you.

24 August 2009

Starting off the stressful week.

Back back back!

If you haven't already figured this out, We don't post on Saturday's and Sunday's, because that's family time.

And, yes, I can tell the week is already going to be stressful...what's new?

I found a pretty little quote in Lit class today and the rest just kind of formed. See what you think. And if you get it.

Some say Money buys Love...but I say that Love buys Money...

Get it?
People say that Money...can be happiness...and love. By buying certain gifts.
But I say, Love buys money...because love is like a ton of money...you need to earn it.. and you need to willing SHARE it.
Now it makes more sense I hope....

21 August 2009

Wouldn't it be nice?

If we could all just take a ride, a 4 or 5 hour one, listening to happy music, and chattering away to our family or friend?

If when we stopped it was in a big, huge open field, lay on the ground and watch the clouds, mocking shapes that they look like and when evening came to gaze at the stars and find the many different constellations?

No worries, just concentration, restlessness, and happiness...

Tell me, how beautifully awesome would that be?

“When the sparrow sings its final refrain, the hush is felt nowhere more deeply than in the heart of man.”

Wednesday Wish

Why?

Why must things in life be so difficult?

Have to hurt so much? Trust me, you think falling off of a LOT ofhigh places, rolling down brick stairs, and having 5 very painful surgeries hurt, right?

Wrong.

Really, really wrong.

What hurts is seeing the people you care about un-happy and broken-hearted. That hurts more than anything else.

When it hurts to look at your the people you care the most about because their dreams have been ripped right out from under their feet and the breath pumped out of their chests. That is what really hurts.

And, since we're on the subject, let's go ahead and polish this off.

Why are we living like this?
Yes, it IS nice to have a computer, to have electricity, in home toilets.
But seriously, why?
Couldn’t we make it the way they did before all of this stuff?
What was ever wrong with that?
We need lessons. All of us.
Everything was better then!
the 20s, the 30's, the 40's, 50's, 60's, and the 70's
Of course, there was still war, and sex, and drugs, and murder, and logically Rock and Roll, but in this century…the 21st…it’s 5 times worse! I think we all just need to….
STOP
Breathe.
Exhale.
Think.
CHANGE.
Go back to the LOVE that people once shared, Gladly shared with each other. On the days of August 15th through the 18th of 1969, and all of before. What happened to the love? What happened to the peace? The understanding? Now I know that you’re all saying, “Who are you to say this? Your parents had JUST been born! This was 34 years before you were even here!” But I know! I live in that decade. No, body may not, but soul does. And I bet that you could ask people who lived in the good days. Ask them if it was REALLY better then. You have to have a parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle who lived then. This is my challenge to you. the one and only thing I ask. Bring your information, and leave it in a comment. It doesn’t matter if you normally READ THIS BLOG.

It’s like the other day, GS was speaking of the old Fisher Theater in Detroit, Michigan. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL place, here, and here, it is. But guess what? We’ll never get to see it, because, ignorant little prissy people with sticks stuck up their you-know-what’s can not stand to see something that isn’t “glam” and “gussied up to up-dation” and you know, that’s really, really sad. Because of these people, these nen-com-poops we will never get to see the beauty this place held, for the first time, or to re-live childhood memories. This is what we’ll see. Those are the pictures, the one’s that make it look like a, GS’s words, “Piece of sh..” and we’ve seen the good pictures. Which do YOU prefer? Do you agree that “Something old should be made new?” or that “Past is the past, leave it at that?”It’s something to think about. But take your time, don’t answer in a rush. The past is not a thing to quickly be hushed.

WEDNESDAY WISH::::
People would leave the past the past, the future the future.
Don't change one single thing.
Let it Be. Let it Be.
This version will give you chills:
Editor's Note(((((((
And don't worry, this will be one of my last complaints...(chuckles) sorry. But it will be. Now it's just going to be happy stuff.

Idiot

Sorry, Wednesday Wish will be brought to you tomorrow instead, because Blogger had to erase ALL of the it-took-30 minutes-to-type-this post I had originally prepared!

Memories

They can just pop up, with the sight of the littlest things.

Just like Friday night, I was spending the night with GS, and had put on a mud mask, when, whaddya know? Memory.

Summer 2004,

KY(my cousin, who's expecting), and I had just finished applying mud-masks, and were waiting for them to dry, and had wandered into the living room to see what GS was up too, and were captivated(after scaring her, and Max{the dog in her posts, this was before Maggie} by the sound of slow, romantic music coming from the T.V. She decided we were all going to try to slow dance...3 people...didn't turn out so good, but it was all in good fun. Then, we switched the music to the 70's, and she proceeded to teach us how to dance,...the shimmy. For those of you who do not know what the shimmy is, it's a dance, with movements...like so... and do, remember...we were trying to do this dance at like...8 and 11...so we weren't "developed" and found it very hard. And, if you could have looked into her window you would have seen 3 girls, attempting to "shimmy" with long tee-shirts on, hair pulled back, and green & blue mud on their faces...what a sight. But the memories, will last forever.

You know you're a teenager...in High school

When::
_____________________________________
-you hear things like, "Omigod, is he really going out with HER?!"...
-you hear "F***" every other word...
-Heavy Metal music is bursting out of every seat on the bus...
-your school's lockers have to be drug and sex searched
-The revolting smell of cat litter and sweat tickles your nose on the bus...

:::let's face it, I could go on, but seriously, what is the point?

Anyways, here's another joke...A blondie one!

A blonde went to a flight school insisting she wanted to learn to fly that day. As all the planes were currently in use, the owner agreed to instruct her on how to pilot the helicopter solo by radio. He took her out, showed her how to start it and gave her the basics, and sent her on her way. After she climbed 1000 feet, she radioed in. "I'm doing great! I love it! The view is so beautiful, and I'm starting to get the hang of this." After 2000 feet, she radioed again, saying how easy it was becoming to fly. The instructor watched her climb over 3000 feet, and was beginning to worry that she hadn't radioed in. A few minutes later, he watched in horror as she crashed about half a mile away. He ran over and pulled her from the wreckage. When he asked what happened, she said: "I don't know! Everything was going fine, but as I got higher, I was starting to get cold. I can't remember anything after I turned off the big fan..."

Back

Alright. I'm back.
Back to.....reality.
blogging
burning
drama
HELL..
Can best be described as today.
The first day back to school is always the busiest.
Everyone knows that.
So, no more fun and laughs.
It's all busting out the homework until the end of May.
But, just because I can't have fun, doesn't mean you all can't!
So, here's a joke:::

A store that sells husbands has just opened where a woman may go to choose a husband from among many men. The store is composed of 6 floors, and the men increase in positive attributes as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch. As you open the door to any floor you may choose a man from that floor, but if you go up a floor, you cannot go back down except to exit the building. So a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband.

On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men have jobs.

The woman reads the sign and says to herself, "Well, that's better than my last boyfriend, but I wonder what's further up?" So up she goes.

The second floor sign reads: Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love kids.

The woman remarks to herself, "That's great, but I wonder what's further up?"
And up she goes again.

The third floor sign reads: Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love kids and are extremely good looking.

"Hmmm, better" she says. "But I wonder what's upstairs?"

The fourth floor sign reads: Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking and help with the housework.

"Wow!" exclaims the woman, "very tempting. BUT, there must be more further up!"
And again she heads up another flight.

The fifth floor sign reads: Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, help with the housework and have a strong romantic streak.

"Oh, mercy me! But just think... what must be awaiting me further on?" So up to the sixth floor she goes.

The sixth floor sign reads: Floor 6 - You are visitor 6,875,953,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please.

Oh,the days...

The days...

Of laughter...
Of music...
Of $30 going to about 12 different things...
Of late nights spent looking at pictures...
Of summer...
THIS summer...
What do you know, it DID turn out to be a good one!

Just like tonight, we were driving home...listening to the Til Tuesday and Depeche Mode cassettes that I bought today when we were junkin'. And earlier tonight, Jaden jamming out to the Beatles' "Let It Be" record I got yesterday. That child...little as she may be, has turned around my whole outlook on infants. Before her, I thought of them as demons...and little pests..but now, spending so much time with her...she is so loved, and she's precious, and beautiful. So, thank you, "Jaden's mom" (Didn't know if you want your name on here), for letting all of us get to know her. Thank you all, for an unforgettable summer! I love y'all!

.....Here's to you!

A Dedication

I'm dedicating this post to my Great Grandmother...Ma. Born, August 6, 1919. Being 4 when Ma died, I didn't really get the chance to get to know her very well. And I really, REALLY, wish that I had. Because..now I just have photo's and video's....no memories...and I really do hate that so very much, because everyone else has so much to say about her, and what do I have to say? "I...I don't remember that..." So, Ma, if you're reading this upstairs, or you can see or hear me writing this...just know that I DO miss you. And I wish I had the chance everyone else had to get to know you. I still do love you though. Tomorrow would have been her 90th birthday.

In dedication to you, a song that one of your daughters told me about....

“Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.”

August

The 3rd day of August....ugh...days closer to returning to prison...
Anyway, I'm being haunted...
By those birds who launched attack on me the first time.
I was ouside.
Just sitting.
And they started calling my name!
I am NOT kidding!
I'm seriously not.
They want revenge on me!
Or, maybe I'm just going insane.
Either way.

Interesting things about August::
1. July was named after Julius Caesar...."July"..."Julius". His nephew, Augustus defeated Cleopatra and Marc Antony, so it was said he should have a month named after him also. Hence, "August"...."Augustus"

And August 3rd::
1. It's the 218th day of the year

2. 8/3/1527---First known letter is sent from North America by John Rut while at St. John's, Newfoundland.

3. 8/3/1673---Robert LaSalle builds the Le Griffon, the first known ship built in America.

4. 8/3/ 1783---Mount Asama erupts in Japan, killing 35,000 people.
