Wednesday Wish

Alright, so...as we all know, today is the release(long, and waited) of BEATLES ROCK BAND!

I think, this is the greatest game ever invented. Ever!

Of course, there's going to be a few things about my favorite, and the best band that ever was. Here goes:::

In July of 1957, John met Paul. Paul invited George to watch, and he agreed and joined the band in 1958. They acquired a drummer, named Colin Hanton, but he left, and they soon picked up( after many other replacements) in 1962, a lovely man who was great with drumsticks named, Richard Starkey(Ringo Starr) they later went on to record many AMAZING songs that filled the ears of the nation, and left millions of girls in tears and wails of happiness and delight. And, on April 10, 1970....the Beatles departed.
There as, the Wednesday Wish
Truly, I wish the Beatles were back together, making much much more music for us to love and sing along to, but seeing as the departures of John and George, leaving this world, this will never be. We can only sit back, and enjoy the vinyl.

Autumn

Now, It is officially Fall!

Generation Swap's favorite time of the year.

You have to admit, it is beautiful, the leaves changing, it not be 100 degrees outside and such. You get to wear long sleeves and eat pumpkins, and squash.

You get Halloween, where you get to dress up and watch the little children in their costumes, searching for sweets and looking adorable... and Thanksgiving, when you can give thanks to the Indians and Pilgrims and your family for all the awesome food(*cough*...tofurky...) which later morphs into my favorite holidays, Christmas and New Years!

Oh, just how wonderful of a world we live in (nature wise anyways.)

Enjoy!

Wednesday Wish

Why?

Why must things in life be so difficult?

Have to hurt so much? Trust me, you think falling off of a LOT ofhigh places, rolling down brick stairs, and having 5 very painful surgeries hurt, right?

Wrong.

Really, really wrong.

What hurts is seeing the people you care about un-happy and broken-hearted. That hurts more than anything else.

When it hurts to look at your the people you care the most about because their dreams have been ripped right out from under their feet and the breath pumped out of their chests. That is what really hurts.

And, since we're on the subject, let's go ahead and polish this off.

Why are we living like this?
Yes, it IS nice to have a computer, to have electricity, in home toilets.
But seriously, why?
Couldn’t we make it the way they did before all of this stuff?
What was ever wrong with that?
We need lessons. All of us.
Everything was better then!
the 20s, the 30's, the 40's, 50's, 60's, and the 70's
Of course, there was still war, and sex, and drugs, and murder, and logically Rock and Roll, but in this century…the 21st…it’s 5 times worse! I think we all just need to….
STOP
Breathe.
Exhale.
Think.
CHANGE.
Go back to the LOVE that people once shared, Gladly shared with each other. On the days of August 15th through the 18th of 1969, and all of before. What happened to the love? What happened to the peace? The understanding? Now I know that you’re all saying, “Who are you to say this? Your parents had JUST been born! This was 34 years before you were even here!” But I know! I live in that decade. No, body may not, but soul does. And I bet that you could ask people who lived in the good days. Ask them if it was REALLY better then. You have to have a parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle who lived then. This is my challenge to you. the one and only thing I ask. Bring your information, and leave it in a comment. It doesn’t matter if you normally READ THIS BLOG.

It’s like the other day, GS was speaking of the old Fisher Theater in Detroit, Michigan. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL place, here, and here, it is. But guess what? We’ll never get to see it, because, ignorant little prissy people with sticks stuck up their you-know-what’s can not stand to see something that isn’t “glam” and “gussied up to up-dation” and you know, that’s really, really sad. Because of these people, these nen-com-poops we will never get to see the beauty this place held, for the first time, or to re-live childhood memories. This is what we’ll see. Those are the pictures, the one’s that make it look like a, GS’s words, “Piece of sh..” and we’ve seen the good pictures. Which do YOU prefer? Do you agree that “Something old should be made new?” or that “Past is the past, leave it at that?”It’s something to think about. But take your time, don’t answer in a rush. The past is not a thing to quickly be hushed.

WEDNESDAY WISH::::
People would leave the past the past, the future the future.
Don't change one single thing.
Let it Be. Let it Be.
This version will give you chills:
Editor's Note(((((((
And don't worry, this will be one of my last complaints...(chuckles) sorry. But it will be. Now it's just going to be happy stuff.

Memories

They can just pop up, with the sight of the littlest things.

Just like Friday night, I was spending the night with GS, and had put on a mud mask, when, whaddya know? Memory.

Summer 2004,

KY(my cousin, who's expecting), and I had just finished applying mud-masks, and were waiting for them to dry, and had wandered into the living room to see what GS was up too, and were captivated(after scaring her, and Max{the dog in her posts, this was before Maggie} by the sound of slow, romantic music coming from the T.V. She decided we were all going to try to slow dance...3 people...didn't turn out so good, but it was all in good fun. Then, we switched the music to the 70's, and she proceeded to teach us how to dance,...the shimmy. For those of you who do not know what the shimmy is, it's a dance, with movements...like so... and do, remember...we were trying to do this dance at like...8 and 11...so we weren't "developed" and found it very hard. And, if you could have looked into her window you would have seen 3 girls, attempting to "shimmy" with long tee-shirts on, hair pulled back, and green & blue mud on their faces...what a sight. But the memories, will last forever.

Oh,the days...

The days...

Of laughter...
Of music...
Of $30 going to about 12 different things...
Of late nights spent looking at pictures...
Of summer...
THIS summer...
What do you know, it DID turn out to be a good one!

Just like tonight, we were driving home...listening to the Til Tuesday and Depeche Mode cassettes that I bought today when we were junkin'. And earlier tonight, Jaden jamming out to the Beatles' "Let It Be" record I got yesterday. That child...little as she may be, has turned around my whole outlook on infants. Before her, I thought of them as demons...and little pests..but now, spending so much time with her...she is so loved, and she's precious, and beautiful. So, thank you, "Jaden's mom" (Didn't know if you want your name on here), for letting all of us get to know her. Thank you all, for an unforgettable summer! I love y'all!

.....Here's to you!

A Dedication

I'm dedicating this post to my Great Grandmother...Ma. Born, August 6, 1919. Being 4 when Ma died, I didn't really get the chance to get to know her very well. And I really, REALLY, wish that I had. Because..now I just have photo's and video's....no memories...and I really do hate that so very much, because everyone else has so much to say about her, and what do I have to say? "I...I don't remember that..." So, Ma, if you're reading this upstairs, or you can see or hear me writing this...just know that I DO miss you. And I wish I had the chance everyone else had to get to know you. I still do love you though. Tomorrow would have been her 90th birthday.

In dedication to you, a song that one of your daughters told me about....

“Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.”
