Memories

Just thought of this on the bus this morning. Things I remember vaguely from my childhood memories.

1. Whenever you used to go to the doctor, they'd give you these things.

2. Battleball was not a violent sport, it just resulted in poor-losers.

3. These two bands were VERY popular.

and

4. These things were really gross.

5. All the "Big Kids" brought you awes of wonder.

ww

I think I have the worst luck ever.

This morning, I stepped in a water puddle(HUGE) and my pants leg was soaked.

Made a 74 on a very easy test in Literature.

Had typed almost a page out of a textbook in Tech Class when all the power went out, (It went unsaved, as did everyone elses.)

So, pretty much it hasn't been the BEST day.

and,

Apparently GS has someone going after her with a Voodoo Doll too. So sorry about your knee granny. Love You.

Found this beautiful song from the movie Titanic.

Anyways, on to the WW

I wish more love stories were made, good ones, ones that aren't just chalk full of F and GD, but really, really good ones, like The Notebook and Message in a Bottle.

Memories

They can just pop up, with the sight of the littlest things.

Just like Friday night, I was spending the night with GS, and had put on a mud mask, when, whaddya know? Memory.

Summer 2004,

KY(my cousin, who's expecting), and I had just finished applying mud-masks, and were waiting for them to dry, and had wandered into the living room to see what GS was up too, and were captivated(after scaring her, and Max{the dog in her posts, this was before Maggie} by the sound of slow, romantic music coming from the T.V. She decided we were all going to try to slow dance...3 people...didn't turn out so good, but it was all in good fun. Then, we switched the music to the 70's, and she proceeded to teach us how to dance,...the shimmy. For those of you who do not know what the shimmy is, it's a dance, with movements...like so... and do, remember...we were trying to do this dance at like...8 and 11...so we weren't "developed" and found it very hard. And, if you could have looked into her window you would have seen 3 girls, attempting to "shimmy" with long tee-shirts on, hair pulled back, and green & blue mud on their faces...what a sight. But the memories, will last forever.

Isn't it so cute? I think so!
Thanks Granny! Love you

Oh,the days...

The days...

Of laughter...
Of music...
Of $30 going to about 12 different things...
Of late nights spent looking at pictures...
Of summer...
THIS summer...
What do you know, it DID turn out to be a good one!

Just like tonight, we were driving home...listening to the Til Tuesday and Depeche Mode cassettes that I bought today when we were junkin'. And earlier tonight, Jaden jamming out to the Beatles' "Let It Be" record I got yesterday. That child...little as she may be, has turned around my whole outlook on infants. Before her, I thought of them as demons...and little pests..but now, spending so much time with her...she is so loved, and she's precious, and beautiful. So, thank you, "Jaden's mom" (Didn't know if you want your name on here), for letting all of us get to know her. Thank you all, for an unforgettable summer! I love y'all!

.....Here's to you!

31 July 2009

finally!

FINALLY!

I have finished the last Harry Potter book!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

As I approached the end of the novel, the beloved novel that I so cherished, the novel that I spent hours pouring my mind, ears, eyes, and soul into,(and nose of course)..bookworm. I stuck with the Magical Trio through the beginning. The novel, that stimulated almost all of my childhood dreams, acting experiences(from HOURS of role playing Harry Potter.), and gave me an imagination that I could slip into at any rough place. And, as I reached the end of this novel... the last few pages...I felt a sentimental gratitude, sadness, but yet happy, that I could join the journey so many others have onto the Train to Hogwarts. And, I might have shed a few tears in respect for my past, and those beloved characters, who may be lost, but will always be in my heart. To that, JK Rowling, I thank you. So very, very much.

WARNING!

DEATHLY HALLOWS SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!

5 Things

Ok, here's the game///

THINGS YOU PROBABLY(OR DID) KNOW ABOUT ME

Here's the directions//

CREATE A POST OR COMMENT TELLING 5 THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF AND DESCRIBE.

Here's mine::

1. I'm a little bit afraid of the dark, and it has nothing to do with horror movies.

2. I'm terrified of spiders. Whenever I see or hear about them, I automatically lift my feet, tuck myself into a ball, and squirm.

3. I despise clowns. I don't know how it even started, because Joker's don't bother me (I think it's when we were playing a game and a porceiln clown was staring straight at me.) but everytime we go to Generation Swap's, I have to dodge seeing the wrath's of my great- grandmother's clown display case.

4. I'm obssessed with finding old things. Whether it be pictures of my family, or clothes. I've begged to go through my other gramma's jewelry, and GS's trunk of pictures and memoribillia.

5. I plan to travel to all 50 states in the US, Australia, Europe, the UK, Ireland, Africa, China one day. Money is the only thing stopping me.

And she thought I was a packrat...

Ashatasha IS the packrat!
COMIC and I were going through the attic of his house yesterday, un-earthing (literally) FORTY-THREE and plus, HEAVY and FULLY loaded boes of stuff. After we'd ALREADY done this before! It's truly amazing that almost two years after divorce, you can STILL find stuff to move. And she calls me a packrat...ha.

one flew over the cuckoo's nest

That's apparently exactly what I did this morning.

And now I hate birds.

Of any kind.

I was just walking along the driveway, listening to some music, and basically doing nothing. I started seeing two birds flying, and thought nothing of it, that they were just passing overhead, and continued walking. Until, I saw something out of the corner of my eye just inches from me. It was the bird, wait, no, TWO birds. Flying at my head like it was some game. I ran, full speed down the road as the winged creatures continued to dive bomb me, still playing their game. And play they did, all the way to Ashatasha's house.

And now I think I'm mentally scarred and scared for life.

AND now know exactly how these people feel
