I know he died in 2008, but I just started this blog, and he was one of my favorite actors, and I wanted to do a blog on him. If you don't like Heath, and don't admire his work, I suggest that you don't read this post, because it is going to be entirely about him! Thanks.

Heathcliff Andrew Ledger was born on April 4, 1979 in Perth, Western Australia, Australia to Kim Ledger(yes, that is a man.) and Sally Ramshaw. His sister was Kate Ledger, and half-sisters Olivia Ledger and Ashleigh Bell. He was an avid chess player, winning the Western Australia junior chess championship when he was 10. Ledger dated actress Heather Graham for several months in 2000 to 2001,and he had a serious long-term relationship with Naomi Watts. In the summer of 2004, he met and began dating actress Michelle Williams and their daughter, Matilda Rose, was born on 28 October 2005 in New York City.

He and Michelle seperated in late 2007.
After his departure from this world, Michelle and others later stated in an interview
"'we all caught colds because we were shooting outside on horrible, damp nights. But Heath's went on and I don't think he dealt with it immediately with the antibiotics.... [sic] I think what he did have was the walking pneumonia' [...] On top of that, 'He was saying all the time, "dammit, I can't sleep"...[sic] and he was taking all these pills [to help him] [sic].' "
Michelle Williams "also confirmed reports the actor had experienced trouble sleeping. "For as long as I'd known him, he had bouts with insomnia. He had too much energy. His mind was turning, turning turning — always turning."
2008, 22 January----------
At 2:45pm, he was found unconscious in his bed by his masseuse and housekeeper in his 4th floor loft- apartment apartment at 421 Broome Street in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. At 3:26, his masseuse called Ms. Mary Kate Olsen, his close friend.
3:33, the EMT arrived, and 3 minutes later, Heath was pronounced dead and removed from the apartment.
Two weeks later, the autopsy came back in the results of an accidental overdose of the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine". In other words, The medications found in the toxicological analysis are commonly prescribed in the United States for insomnia, anxiety, depression, pain, and/or common cold symptoms.
On 1 February 2008, in her first public statement after Ledger's death, Michelle Williams expressed her heartbreak and described Ledger's spirit as surviving in their daughter.
After attending private memorial ceremonies in Los Angeles, Ledger's family members returned with his body to Perth.
On 9 February 2008, a memorial service attended by several hundred invited guests was held at Penrhos College, garnering considerable press attention; afterward Ledger's body was cremated at Fremantle Cemetery, followed by a private service attended by only 10 closest family members, with his ashes to be interred later in a family plot at Karrakatta Cemetery, next to two of his grandparents. Later that night, his family and friends gathered for a wake on Cottesloe Beach.

My Words on Heath:::::
"Heath Ledger has inspired me so much, in every way possible. He opened my eyes to the uniqueness of acting, by watching him in braving himself to take risks with his career (and succeeding). He made me a happier person by watching his performances. He had great taste in music, directing and picking the roles that he wanted to play. You couldn't ask for a better actor, and in my eyes, he was the best that will ever be. No one will be more of an inspirational actor than that of Mr. Ledger. I would have been greatly honored to have met him. And I'm quite sure that he changed hundreds of people's lives. He changed mine. Even though you are gone, you are still remembered, by all of us, your fans. And we love you, and your beautiful Matilda Rose. Surely she will carry on your loving nature. This video says it all, and wait, you directed it!"
